Fire + Ice Facial ... Korean Style!

Posted by Sarah Kinsler-Holloway on

The Fire and Ice facial is a popular skincare treatment that combines two contrasting steps to rejuvenate the skin. It typically involves the application of two different masks, one with warming properties (fire) and the other with cooling properties (ice).

The "fire" portion of the facial involves applying a mask or treatment that contains active ingredients such as enzymes, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), or other exfoliating agents.  In this protocol, we're using Carboxy, which stimulates circulation, creating a warm or tingling sensation on the skin.

After the "fire" portion, the "ice" step follows, which involves applying a cooling mask or treatment to soothe and calm the skin.  This mask may contain ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, or peptides, which help hydrate, reduce redness, and provide a refreshing sensation.  We're opting for the Cryofacial caps, which stay cold for quite awhile, and quickly bring down the skin's temperature.

The combination of these contrasting sensations is believed to provide various benefits, including improved skin texture, increased circulation, reduced pore size, and a brighter, more youthful complexion.
