A Quick Website Checklist For Estheticians

A Quick Website Checklist For Estheticians

Posted by Sarah Kinsler-Holloway on

This isn't the first blog I've written on the importance of a website.  Check out 5 Things Every Esthetician's Website Needs

I truly feel websites are so important in running a solo practice, for two essential reasons: Visibility + Credibility.
So here I've compiled a quick website checklist that can serve as a blueprint or audit.
  • Compelling About Us Page: Introduce yourself, your experience, and your passion for skincare. Highlight what makes your services unique.
  • Services Page: Clearly list all services you offer with detailed descriptions and pricing. Consider using high-quality branded photos to showcase treatments.
  • Booking System: Enable online appointment booking for convenience and improve client capture. Look for a system that integrates with your calendar.
  • Contact Information: Make it easy for potential clients to reach you – include phone number, email address, and a contact form. Consider a live chat feature for added accessibility that you can automate the most frequently asked questions.
  • High-Quality Photos: Showcase your space's ambiance, treatment processes, and before-and-after photos (with client consent).
  • Testimonials: Publish positive client testimonials and reviews to build trust and credibility.
  • Privacy Policy & Terms of Service: Outline how you handle client information and establish clear terms of service.
  • Mobile-Friendly Design: Ensure your website displays well and is easy to navigate on all devices, especially smartphones.
  • SEO Optimization: Use relevant keywords throughout your website content to improve search engine ranking.
  • Clear Navigation: Make it easy for visitors to find the information they need with a simple menu structure.
  • Fast Loading Speed: Optimize images and code to ensure your website loads quickly for a positive user experience.
  • Social Media Integration: Link to your social media accounts to expand reach and connect with potential clients.
  • Call to Action (CTA): Encourage visitors to book appointments, subscribe to your newsletter, or follow you on social media with clear CTAs.
  • Blog: Publish informative blog posts on skincare topics to establish yourself as an expert and attract organic traffic.
  • FAQs: Address common questions about your services and booking process.
  • Email Marketing: Build an email list and send out newsletters with promotions, updates, and skincare tips.
  • Consistent Branding: Maintain a consistent visual identity across your website, social media, and marketing materials.
  • Legal Compliance: Review local regulations and ensure your website complies with relevant data privacy laws.
  • Security: Implement security measures to protect client data and ensure safe online transactions (if applicable).
  • Analytics Tracking: Use analytics tools to track website traffic and user behavior, allowing you to improve your website and marketing strategies.
  • Maintenance & Updates: Keep your website content fresh, update software plugins regularly, and back up your website data.

I hope this checklist helps. Remember, your website is your online storefront, so invest in creating a professional and welcoming space for potential clients.
