5 Tips to starting a relaxing facial

Posted by Sarah Kinsler-Holloway on

Today's blog is a shorty.  Here are 5 tips for starting a relaxing facial:

Ambiance

Create a soothing ambiance for the facial session. This includes setting the mood with calming music, adjusting the room temperature to the client's comfort, and providing a warm, comfortable treatment table. Dim lighting or candles can also contribute to a tranquil atmosphere.

Thorough Skin Examination

This is a given, but before proceeding with treatments, conduct a thorough examination of the client's skin. This is the perfect segway into the next tip. After examination but before starting the facial grab all necessary products.

Organize Supplies Quietly

Ensure all necessary products and tools are laid out neatly and quietly within reach. This minimizes disruptions during the facial and enhances the overall relaxation experience for the client. Consider using containers or trays to organize products efficiently.

Warm the Oil

Begin by warming the cleansing oil or any massage oils you plan to use. Warm oil not only enhances the sensory experience for the client but also helps to soften and prepare the skin for effective cleansing and massage.

Gentle Massage

Once the skin is prepped with warmed oil, proceed with a gentle facial massage. This step not only relaxes the client but also helps to stimulate blood circulation, which can contribute to a healthy glow and improved skin tone.
