4 Ways to Use Krx's Cica Homecare Masks

Posted by Sarah Kinsler-Holloway on

KrX Cica Homecare Masks are quite possibly the most versatile sheet masks I've found.  Here I'm going to share 4 ways I use them, but first, can we talk about how amazing the ingredients are?!

Centella Asiatica, is a perennial plant native to the wetlands of Asia, and has been used in traditional Korean medicine for centuries.

Cica is known for it's healing and anti-inflammatory properties, making these perfect for post laser or chemical peels.

Plygonum Cuspidatum Root, is rich in the Polyphenolic antioxidant, trans-resveratrol. In fact, it's the most bioavailable form of resveratrol, a natural anti-aging ingredient.

Resveratrol neutralizes free radicals and increases antioxidant levels, which enables the skin to protect and repair itself.

Scutellaria Baicalensis Root, a traditional Chinese herbal medicine is loaded with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory flavonoids such as baicalin, baicalein, and wogonin.  It's an effective brightening ingredient due to its ability to interrupt the creation and transfer of excess pigment.

Camellia Sinensis Leaf, (Green Tea), rich in polyphenols has a positive effect on skin texture, and hydration levels.  Check out this study on Green Tea and it's effect on the skin

Now, onto four possible ways to use them in the treatment room.....

Post Full Face Wax

If you have clients who are particularly sensitive to full face waxes, these sheet masks are a must.  They quickly calm any stinging, and reduce redness.  Rather than charge as an upgrade, I would include it, and price accordingly.  This is a nice touch that would help your business stand out.

Post Chemical or Enzyme Peel

Nothing feels better after a spicy Chemical/Enzyme Peel than a calming/soothing sheet mask. This is especially important if you're continuing on with a facial, because there's nothing worse than receiving a facial massage when your skin is tingly/burning.

Use with KrX Green Sea Peel

In my opinion, rehydrating the Green Sea Peel is essential before removing.  The Cica sheet mask not only rehydrates the peel for easy removal, but it also feels incredible.   Pro Tip: Keep in the fridge, your clients will thank you!

Retail as homecare

The Cica sheet mask is a great item to retail to keep your clients on track between facial appointments.  You could also upsell the mask to your Green Sea Peel clients.

I always advise my clients against purchasing sheet masks off Amazon or at big box stores like Target.  The packaging is so cute, but they're often filled with fragrance and skin irritants.

KrX's Cica sheet masks are a safe option for all skin types.
