Mela Defense Whitening Serum contains the same unique formulation of Hanbang (Korean Traditional Medicine) ingredients as the KrX Mela Defense Whitening Cream in a silky serum, which is ideal for targeting stubborn pigment. 

Ingredients include:

  • Tranexamic Acid aids in repairing damaged cells and is a very effective tyrosinase inhibitor, tyrosinase being a key enzyme involved in melanin synthesis. Melanin production is regulated by inhibiting tyrosinase, effectively addressing hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. 

  • Topical niacinamide effectively decreases melanin production and brightens skin tone.

  • RiFerm-NPG™ contains fermented rice water and has won numerous awards in Korea for one of the most innovative formulations using Hangbang ingredients.

My go-to for hyperpigmentation concerns! Unfortunately for a couple of clients with more sensitive skin, using it daily does cause mild breakouts so they have to reduce to every other day, but they still love it!
