3 Body Protocols For Summer

Posted by Sarah Kinsler-Holloway on

Summer is nearly here!

Here are three body protocols designed to address common body skin concerns. Each one is customizable + treatment-room tested.

Green Sea Back Facial

This resurfacing treatment uses the Green Sea Peel to exfoliate, stimulate skin regeneration, and reduce visible post-acne marks.

Best For:
• Back hyperpigmentation
• Rough texture or sun damage

Protocol

Step 1: Prep the Skin

Begin by cleansing the skin thoroughly with KrX Pre-Peel Cleanser to remove impurities and surface oils.

Step 2: Green Sea Treatment Application

Mix the Green Sea Peel ampoule with the activator in a bowl. Apply the mixture to the skin using a fan brush, or hands, spreading evenly across the treatment area.

Step 3: Tap and Massage

Tap the spicules into the skin for 2 to 3 minutes to begin embedding them into the epidermis. Follow with a light-pressure massage for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, working the spicules deeper into the skin to initiate micro-channeling and stimulation.

⚠️ Clients may feel a prickling or stinging sensation during this step. This is a normal response and indicates that the spicules are actively engaging the skin.

Step 4: Leave On

Allow the Green Sea Peel to sit on the skin as a mask for 10 to 15 minutes.
This step enhances ingredient penetration and maximizes the regenerative benefits of the peel.

Step 5: Removal

Apply a soothing gel (Corthe Ice Soothing Gel or Dermathod’s Healer Gel) over the mask to help loosen the peel. Let sit for a few minutes.
Gently remove the peel with cold water—avoid scrubbing or using hot water.
Finishing with a moisturizer is optional - for best results we recommend skipping this step. Clients can apply moisturizer in 24 hours.

Clear Peel Back Facial

This targeted peel protocol is ideal for oily, breakout-prone, or inflamed skin on the back. The Clear Peel is a salicylic acid-based formula with green tea extract to gently exfoliate, and reduce inflammation.

Best For:
• Active breakouts
• Clogged pores
• Inflamed or red lesions

Key Ingredients:
Salicylic Acid (BHA) – dissolves excess oil + unclogs follicles
Green Tea Extract – antioxidant + anti-inflammatory
Aloe Vera – calms and hydrates

Protocol:

  • Cleanse with KrX’s Pre Peel Cleanser, if a pre cleanse is needed we recommend KrX’s Pre Cleansing Oil

  • Apply KrX’s Pre Peel Toner to degrease the skin

  • Apply one to three layers of KRX Clear Peel and leave on up to 10 minutes. This is not a self neutralizing peel so do not wait between layers

  • Neutralize the peel using KrX’s Post Peel Toner

  • Perform extractions if needed.

    Carboxy + Corthe Repair Protocol

This is a gentle but effective protocol that focuses on oxygenation, circulation, and inflammation control. It’s ideal for clients with congested but sensitive skin, post-breakout healing, or folliculitis-prone areas. This protocol pairs Carboxy Therapy     with Corthe’s First Aid line, which contains salicylic acid in calming, pH-balanced formulations.

    Best For:
    • Barrier-compromised body acne
    • Sensitive, reactive skin types
    • Post-acne maintenance + skin strengthening

    Key Ingredients:
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) – improves blood flow + detoxification
Salicylic Acid (Corthe) – gentle BHA exfoliation
Corthe First Aid Creams – reduce inflammation, support healing

    Protocol Overview:

    1. Cleanse with Corthe First Aid pH Balancing Cleanser

    2. Apply Carboxy Gel + Activator sheet mask to treatment area

    3. Allow CO2 reaction to occur (10–15 minutes)

    4. Remove mask, gently massage in excess product

    5. Apply Corthe First Aid Salicylic Cream to areas of concern

    6. Finish with barrier support serum or calming lotion

    7. Optional: cold compress or LED for additional inflammation support

🕒 Suggested course: 1x/week for 3–4 weeks during active flare-up, then maintain every 4–6 weeks
