The Science Behind KrX Aesthetic's VTox

This blog was inspired by a recent post in our Facebook Group, asking for more information on KrX's Vtox and how it works.  If you love this mask, but struggle to explain it's benefits to your clients, this blog is for you!

What is VTOX?

VTOX is a Korean mask that has been dubbed a "facelift in a bottle". This anti-aging (or pro-aging depending on how you look at it) mask is celebrated for its peptide-rich formulation, anti-inflammatory ingredients, and unique mechanisms for enhancing blood flow and lymphatic drainage.

Key Ingredients and Their Benefits

Botanical Extracts: VTOX incorporates a variety of plant-based extracts with soothing and healing properties. These include:

  • Rosemary Extract: Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Lavender Extract: Provides calming effects and promotes healing.
  • Thyme Extract: Offers antibacterial benefits and helps with skin repair.
  • Origanum Vulgare Extract: A powerful antioxidant that helps protect the skin from environmental damage.

Peptides: The mask is packed with a diverse array of peptides, each playing a crucial role in skin rejuvenation:

  • Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4
  • Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7
  • Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1
  • Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5
  • Nona Peptide-1
  • Copper Tripeptide-1
  • Hexapeptide-9
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-8
  • Tripeptide-1
  • Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that penetrate the skin to stimulate collagen production, improving firmness and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Anti-Inflammatory Ingredients: VTox features several anti-inflammatory components that help combat chronic inflammation, a major factor in collagen breakdown:

  • Adenosine: Enhances skin repair and reduces wrinkles.
  • Rosemary Extract: Helps reduce inflammation and protect the skin.
  • Lavender Extract: Soothes and calms irritated skin.
  • Thyme Extract: Offers anti-inflammatory benefits.
  • Origanum Vulgare Extract: Aids in reducing inflammation and protecting the skin.

How It Works

Tightening and Circulation: The mask’s tightening effect stimulates blood flow, enhancing circulation to deliver oxygen and nutrients to skin cells. This improved circulation assists in removing metabolic waste products and toxins, promoting overall skin health. Enhanced blood flow also supports the lymphatic system, facilitating the movement of lymph fluid and promoting effective lymph drainage. This process is crucial for reducing puffiness and achieving a more taught, refreshed appearance.

Treatment: The mask's potent ingredients work to penetrate deeply into the skin, targeting specific concerns such as fine lines, dullness, and uneven texture. By stimulating collagen production and enhancing hydration, VTox helps to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin.

Revitalization: The mask’s combination of peptides, anti-inflammatory ingredients, and circulation-boosting properties revitalizes the skin, providing a fresh, youthful appearance. Regular use can lead to noticeable improvements in skin texture, tone, and elasticity.

Application Tips for Optimal Results

Preparation: Use a gentle cleanser, and follow with a light form of exfoliation if needed to ensure the skin is thoroughly prepped

Application: Apply an even layer of VTox.  Bring up to the lash line unless clients have long or fake lashes. Follow the protocol found in catalog

Removal: After the recommended time, gently rehydrate the mask with warm water or toner

Modalities: We love to incorporate the Leaf with our VTox treatments.  (Use code KINLEAF44 for $44 Off)
