The Cleanser Blueprint: Choosing the Right Formula for Every Skin Story

Posted by Sarah Kinsler-Holloway on

In the spirit of always trying to simplify, despite our extensive line of products, we've created a Kin Cleanser Cheat Sheet

In addition, we're sharing a little bit about our cleanser line up, and how to find the right fit for every face.

The Everyday Essential: KrX Glow Cleanser

Best for: All skin types, especially normal to combination.

Gentle, reliable, and balanced — Glow Cleanser is the multitasking workhorse every treatment room needs. With evening primrose, aloe, tea tree, and cantaloupe, it lifts impurities without stripping or drying.

It’s the ideal first cleanse when you want something that respects the skin barrier while still removing makeup, sunscreen, and oil.

Think of this as your universal starting point.

The Hydrating Balm: Dermathod Moist Morning Touch

Best for: Normal, oily, or mildly sensitive skin.

A vegan-certified foaming cleanser designed to purify while leaving the skin comfortably hydrated. With aloe, glycerin, and Centella Asiatica, it feels fresh but cushiony.

For clients in dry climates or during winter, follow immediately with a toner or essence to seal in moisture.

The Anti-Aging Treatment Cleanser: KrX Youthplex Cleanser

Best for: Mature, dull, or tired skin.

More than a cleanser — it’s skincare with peptides. Volufiline, Ceramide-3, and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (often called “nature’s Botox”) help plump and firm the skin while cleansing.
It removes makeup thoroughly yet leaves a nourished, lifted finish thanks to squalene and shea butter.

Use when the goal is restoration, firmness, and barrier comfort — a perfect prep step for anti-aging focused facials.

THE Oil Cleanser: Corthe Cleansing Oil

Best for: Sensitive, dry, or makeup-wearing clients.

A soothing oil-based cleanser that dissolves makeup and sunscreen with botanical oils like avocado, olive, and safflower.

Because it’s non-comedogenic and rich in antioxidants, it’s a great first cleanse for even acne-prone clients who wear heavier products.

For Skin Recovery: KrX Cica Recovery Cleanser

Best for: Post-procedure, eczema-prone, barrier-impaired skin.

An oxygenating, healing cleanser that doubles as a calming mask.
Formulated with cica, ceramides, and peptides, it soothes inflammation and restores the skin barrier — making it ideal for laser aftercare or post-peel recovery.

The Gentle Exfoliator: KrX Enzyme Cleanser

Best for: Dull, congested, or textured skin.

A milky cleanser that provides enzyme-based exfoliation with papain — gently polishing the surface without irritation. With centella, vitamin E, and grape seed extract, it supports calm renewal and hydration.

Perfect start to a facial, or as a twice-weekly exfoliating wash for clients who need soft resurfacing.

The Clarifying Foam: Corthe Dermo Pure Cleansing Foam

Best for: Oily, acne-prone, or congested skin.

A purifying foaming cleanser powered by salicylic acid, Cryptomeria Japonica, and Calendula. It unclogs pores, refines texture, and controls oil without over-drying.
This is your go-to for teen acne, hormonal congestion, or any client needing a deep yet balanced clean.

The Gentle Gel: Corthe Foaming Gel Cleanser

Best for: Sensitive, combination, or first-time clients.

With papaya, willow bark, and Centella Asiatica, this foaming gel offers mild enzymatic exfoliation and soothing hydration. It’s gentle enough for everyday use, and ideal as a first or second cleanse before facials.

Sensitive Skin Hero: Dermathod Derma Revive Cleansing Gel

Best for: Reactive, easily irritated, or compromised skin.

Designed for a first cleanse for professional treatments, but works on all skin types, for all reasons. It’s the kind of formula that works beautifully for rosacea-prone or over-exfoliated clients — calming inflammation while maintaining the skin’s protective balance.

Acne Treatment Wash: KrX Clear + Prevent Acne Wash

Best for: Active acne, clogged pores, and post-inflammatory redness.

Using capryloyl salicylic acid (a gentler, lipid-soluble form of salicylic acid), this cleanser exfoliates gradually to clear congestion without irritation. Zinc PCA balances oil, while tea tree and marine algae extracts soothe inflammation.

For acne clients who’ve struggled with stripping, overly medicated formulas — this is a kinder, more balanced way to clear skin.

The Microbiome Balancer: KrX Probiotic Face Wash

Best for: All skin types, especially compromised or stressed skin.

A microbiome-focused cleanser that combines probiotics, aloe, and cica to strengthen the skin’s natural defense system. It restores pH, calms redness, and supports long-term barrier health.

This is the kind of cleanser that keeps skin resilient between treatments — maintaining calm, balance, and hydration.

The Powder Enzyme Cleanser: Corthe Enzyme Cleanser

Best for: Dull, uneven, or breakout-prone skin.

This plant-based enzyme powder cleanser uses papain and willow bark for gentle exfoliation and brightening. It’s ideal as a twice-weekly second cleanse or prep for resurfacing treatments.

The Pre-Treatment Prep: KrX Pre-Peel Cleanser

Best for: Professional use before peels or resurfacing.

Designed to clarify and prep the skin before active treatments. Licorice, dandelion, and olive leaf extracts clear impurities while maintaining hydration. This ensures a clean, balanced canvas — optimizing peel penetration while minimizing risk of irritation.

Oxygenating: KrX OxyGlow Blue Tansy Bubble Cleanser

Best for: Sensitive, dull, or inflamed skin.

With blue tansy, ceramides, and niacinamide, this foaming oxygen cleanser cools, soothes, and revitalizes. The natural blue hue comes from chamazulene, an antioxidant compound that reduces inflammation and oxidative stress.

Perfect for sensitive, stressed skin or clients who love a sensory, calming cleansing experience.

Brightening: KrX Oxyglow Pumpkin Bubble Cleanser

Best for: Normal, dull, or aging skin.

This bubbling formula uses pumpkin enzymes, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C to soften and brighten. It oxygenates the skin instantly, leaving a healthy glow — great as a seasonal or rejuvenating facial starter.

Detoxifying Nutrient: KrX Oxyglow Spirulina Cleanser

Best for: Dull, tired, or environmentally stressed skin.

With spirulina, amino acids, and antioxidants, this cleanser restores vitality and elasticity.
The bubbling texture feels luxurious, and it leaves skin calm yet radiant — ideal for city dwellers or clients exposed to pollution.

Antioxidant Ritual: KrX Cocoa Powder Facial Wash

Best for: Dry, lackluster, or mature skin.

Cocoa and Vitamin C deliver antioxidant protection while lactobionic acid gently exfoliates. It hydrates, brightens, and supports collagen — the perfect comforting, nurturing cleanse for tired or aging skin.
