20 Little Luxuries For Estheticians: Business, Treatment Room + Life

Posted by Sarah Kinsler-Holloway on

Because building a beautiful business starts with how you care for yourself, too.

As estheticians, we pour a lot of ourselves into our clients—our time, our presence and our hands, literally. But what about the before and after?

Here are 20 little luxuries that are small indulgences that help you feel more supported, inspired, and yourself—both in and outside the treatment room.

1. Towels and Linens That Feel Like a Spa, Not Just a Studio

The right linens make a difference—not just in how our space looks, but in how it feels. We love Comphy in the treatment room for their clean, modern aesthetic, quality and ultra-soft texture. They’re professional-grade, durable, and easy to care for, which matters when you’re turning over multiple treatments a day.

They’ve also made their way into my home. Their sheets, and robes are a staple. They've given me a code I can share: Take $25 off your order of $125 or more wide code KIN25

2. Upgrade Your Mornings With An Inspirational Podcast

Here are some favorites: 10% Happier with Dan Harris  A Bit of Optimism   How I Built This with Guy Raz    Science Vs

3. Work/Life Balance

Lets be real - what is balance anyway?  Boundaries are so important, and sometimes it takes burnout to make changes. Whether it’s carving out time between clients for a meal, setting tech boundaries after hours, or making space for small rituals at home, little changes can make a big difference. Think of this as a luxury of rhythm—where your business supports your life, not the other way around.

4. Eye + Lip Duo

Treat yourself the way you treat your clients—treat yourself to a KrX Eye and Lip Dart treatment while watching your favorite show.

5. A New Sound System for Your Treatment Room

Sound shapes the atmosphere more than we often realize. Invest in a sound or speaker system—it’s a small shift that can make the space feel more considered.

6. Be Mindful of What You Consume

Upgrade your inputs: funny/thoughtful podcasts, uplifting books, and TV that doesn't spike your cortisol. What you absorb affects what you give.

7. A Weighted Blanket

A small luxury that helps you (or your clients) ground. Keep one at home and in the treatment room.

8. A Fun Mini Fridge That Makes You Smile

Store your masks, rollers, or just a fizzy drink for between clients. A little joy with every open.

9. Coffee With An Esthetician Friend

It's important to connect and feel supported within our industry.

10. Papier Website for Aesthetic Paper Goods

From goal planners to gratitude journals, beautiful paper inspires creativity.

11. Ceramic Mask Bowls That Make You Feel Like an Artist

Swap out plastic for hand-thrown ceramic or minimalist glass

12. A Monthly Flower Subscription for the Office

Montly fresh blooms on your treatment room or home — nothing loud, just something living.

13. A Korean Skincare Subscription Box

Don't tell, but Kbeauty skincare subscription boxes are always fun to receive.  Bomibox is a super popular one.

14. A New Treatment Stool That Supports Your Posture

Comfort and support = longevity.  We love this saddle stool.

15. The Hulken Bag: Functional, Fabulous, and Rolling

Wish they made these when I first started out.  The Hulken is perfect for transporting laundry, farmers market runs, or a Home Goods trip that got out of hand.

16. A Weekend Getaway to Recharge

Even one night away can reset your nervous system. Book the stay. Read the book. Close the tab.

17. Boutique Candies

Obsessed with Lofty Pursuits. Their candies are so good and also super cute.

18. Cuticle Oil You’ll Actually Use

Just a gentle reminder to care for your hands.

19. Ceremonia: A Little Luxury for Your Hair Ritual

Since using Ceremonia, I haven't gone back.  Their branding, their values, and their products are simply the best.

20. A New Travel Pouch

For travel, work, or just to keep your favorite things in one place. You can never have enough pouches
