This blog is inspired by a frequently asked question: What chemical peel should I use?
So I decided to create a mini guide to help you along the way. Here is a list of all of KrX's Chemical Peels with ingredient highlights, indications, and tips.
Clear Peel
The Clear Peel is a gentle salicylic acid formula created to reduce inflammation, unclog pores, and reduce PIE.
What makes this peel particularly effective is the high concentration of Green Tea. Green tea contains a group of antioxidants called catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which can help combat oxidative stress caused by free radicals. This can contribute to reducing premature aging, fine lines, and wrinkles. It also helps calm inflammation associated with acne, and accelerate healing.
This peel was created for acne prone skin, and those suffering from symptoms of rosacea.
This is a no downtime peel, so your client should not expect any peeling, and because it's a higher pH, they may not even experience any tingling or heat. This is completely normal!
Don't forget to pick up Post Peel Toner to neutralize!
Brightening Peel
The
Brightening Peel is a great peel to start with when targeting hyperpigmentation, especially for clients who are pregnant, higher fitz, or who have never had peels before.
It contains a beautiful blend of melanin inhibitors: Kojic Acid, Bearberry, Licorice Root and of course Lactic Acid.
This is gentle enough to be used in conjunction with other modalities such as microdermabrasion (if appropriate for the client), or as an exfoliation step at the beginning of a facial treatment.
I recommend using this in a brightening facial. Start with 5 to 10 minutes of this peel, followed by a brightening
Custo:Med mask (check out our
catalog of protocols), and finish with
KrX Tranexamic Mask; if you have the
Leaf to use overtop, even better!
This is a no downtime peel, so don't expect any peeling.
Glow Peel
The
Glow Peel gently resurfaces the skin. It's gentle enough to be combined with other modalities such as microdermabrasion (provided it's appropriate for your client's skin) or as an exfoliating treatment at the beginning of a facial.
This
peel contains not only Glycolic Acid, but it also has a blend of retinol, and green tea. It's rich in antioxidants making this skin renewal peel best for those who are older, suffer from glycation, or have photodamaged skin.
This would be an appropriate exfoliation step before the Custo:Med Glycation Mask (check
catalog for protocol).
This is a no downtime peel, so you should not expect any peeling.
LaZer Peel
Named LaZer because of it's laser-like results; the
LaZer Peel is a pigment tackling powerhouse. A blend of acids work synergistically to target tough pigment concerns such as melasma.
This unique formula contains hexylresorcinol which is 4 times more effective than hydroquinone without the negative side effects.
This peel is extremely strong, and so it's very important to follow the protocol exactly, which includes changing gloves between application and removal. The full protocol can be found in the
chemical peel guide.
This peel should be minimal to no downtime.
R3 Therapeel
The
Therapeel is a 3% retinol peel (1.8pH) containing a ton of botanicals which are rich in antioxidants. This means it targets free radical damage, and helps to repair and protect the skin.
Perfect for those who have glycation, photodamage, fine line and wrinkles, etc.
This peel is a little bit different in terms of application.
You apply it to your client's skin, and they remove at home 6 hours later. Full protocol is in catalog!
This should be minimal to no downtime.

Hola!
Tengo una clínica estética en España. Me gustaría tener la lista de cosméticos, precios y protocolos.
Un saludo gracias
Hello,
I have been researching product lines and am in awe of the products that you carry. I currently utilize X08 and Neogenesis.
I am going to study what I will need for my clients, for I will be concentrating on anti-aging, skin barrier protection and renewal and enhancement.
I was wondering if I could purchase a copy of your Training Manual instead of downloading the entire draft?
Please let me know and I will be concentrating my efforts on my target market and the array of choices you offer that would greatly benefit my clientele.
Thank you in advance,
Debra A. Chiccone
