KrX Custo:Med Powder Actives

This is part of the Custo:Med Bespoke Collection.

KrX's powder actives are to be mixed with any of the Base Gels.  These actives work to target key skin concerns. They may be used alone, or mixed together to create customized masks.

Kaolin is a type of clay originally discovered in China. It's used in cosmetics today because of it's purifying properties. It is also rich in minerals which help to further detoxify the skin.

Although Kaolin is often associated with acne-prone, and oily skin, it is actually appropriate for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Kaolin will not dry the skin and with a pH of 4.5 which is close to the pH of human skin, we find it's extremely gentle and soothing.

Calamine is made of zinc + iron oxide. It has both soothing, and protective properties.

Zinc Oxide has the ability to accelerate healing, and is effective in treating inflammatory skin conditions, including acne.

Niacinamide, also known as B3 is a water-soluble vitamin that reduces the impact of environmental damage by improving and strengthening the skin barrier function.

Niacinamide also helps correct past damage, including improving the appearance of skin texture, increases hydration, and helps to even out skin tone due to sun damage.

Suitable for all skin types, especially recommended for dehydrated skin

Tranexamic acid is a water-soluble ingredient derived from the amino acid lysine. Its primary benefit for skin is improving hyperpigmentation. It has the ability to interrupt multiple pathways associated with excess melanin production.

Tranexamic acid must be used with oil-soluble ingredients to have it be most bioavailable to skin.

Hydrolyzed Collagen in cosmetics, synthetic or otherwise, are too large of a molecule to travel any deeper than the stratum corneum. So while it doesn't necessarily improve the structure of the skin, it does have wonderful moisturizing properties, improving the look of wrinkles and laxity of the skin.
